She was born Mary but known as Marie, everyone who knew her, knew of her love for Elvis and he had no songs about Mary but he did Marie so she had everyone call her Marie. Below is the Eulogy my friend Mazza wrote for her to be read out at the chapel and it was so perfect I am going to put it here also.
There are so many people who wanted to say what Marie meant to them. So we have put together a few words, from all her friends and family about Marie and what she means to us.
Marie lived for her family. She loved her grandchildren, and was devoted to her brother Danny. Yet she still found time to touch the lives of so many people around her, from her own friends old and new, to all of us who found a home from home at Maries house whenever we needed it.
Marie has been taken from us before any of us expected but no one can say that she didn't live her life to the full.
She was the life and soul of the party, always making people laugh. Even when it was at her own expense, but if we start telling funny stories involving Marie we could be here all day.
Marie was a great friend to have. She was the kind of person who appreciated the little thoughts, and things in life. No-one who heard her shouting 'ah, ya beauty' opening every present at Christmas time could doubt that. She kept a lifetime of mementos, keepsakes and memories from family and friends. There was barely a space on her wall that wasn't covered with photographs of her family, much to her kid's embaressment. She always had room for Elvis of course.
She was a wonderful person, someone who could speak her own mind if she needed to but who would also be there for anyone who needed her. Whether for a place to stay, a listening ear or a helping hand.
We can't explain why she has gone, but what we do know is that she will be sadly missed, and our memories of her will bring a smile to our faces and be treasured for a long time to come.

Next 2 weeks
Hi mum wish you were here to help me through the next 2 weeks im dreading it im back at hospital for results cant even talk to my sister or brother as we dont speak they could put my mind at ease or try too im being tested for diabetes if i have it baby will be induced sooner than planned ill let you know how it goes and when i get my date which im hoping to get in the next 2 weeks and hopefully baby will be here very soon i soooooooooo cant wait i miss you soooooooooo much wish you were here to join the celebrations with us as the others but never mind maybe well talk before baby is born you never know i hope so but not sure love you always mum tracy & bump xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Christmas
Hi mum just thought id pop in and say hi and give u a wee update i miss you sooooooooo much especially the now with me being nearly due the baby miss being able to fone you and talk to you its soo hard im wrapping xmas pressies the now getting ready for xmas kids are excited wee shawnpaul is getting big i tell him about u all the time he knows who gran is i wish u were hear to share the news with us youd be soo excited donna is over the moon about going to be an aunty again she cant wait xx i hope u have a heaven xmas whereever you are and whatever your doing rip mum miss n love you always tracy,paul,kids n bump xxxxxxxxxxxxx

hi mum just a update me n baby are doing good baby is soo active hoping to get my induction date in next 2 weeks when im back at hospital so once baby arrives ill come back on im sure youll be with me in spirit when its all happening love n miss you tracy,paul,kids,n bump xx

Hi mum we took kids to see santa at the wee chapel xmas fayre yesterday baby shawnpaul kept staring at santa staceyanne wasnt too sure wee paul was fine

Hi mum was out today with charlotte and we seen these gorgeous wee elvis bears as soon as it started playing the music i thought of u right away i was crying in the middle of the bloody shop love u always mum tracy xxxxxxxxxx

Hi mum forgot to say were all going to george square tonight for the xmas lights big switch on taking the 2 babies so it should be good im taking both cameras with me so ill upload pics for u let u see them at tree n that im sure youll be watching them from up above
